In what we hope will be a familiar setting, this spring the gallery will be devoting itself to Austrian painting of the first half of the 20th century and to contemporary art. Due to the incredible density of the high-calibre offer, two catalogues with scientifically researched texts will be published this time.

We have succeeded in acquiring two major works by Oskar Laske from private collections, Opus 40 "The Flood" and Opus 70 "Animal Paradise", which was exhibited at the Vienna Secession in 1931 and at the Carnegie Institute in Pittsburgh in 1934 and is reproduced in numerous publications. In a magical landscape, animals from the most diverse parts of the world cavort in pairs in peaceful coexistence.

A second focus of the fine art exhibition is dedicated to the brilliant animal painter Norbertine Bresslern-Roth. Here, too, two large canvas paintings from a private Austrian collection - "Antelope Hunt" and "Water Buffalo" - stand out, complemented by several wonderfully detailed mixed media, also from an important collection.
